At HelpMeBuddy, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. This page explains what data we hold, what gets deleted, and how to submit a deletion request.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you submit a deletion request, we permanently delete:
Data We May Retain
In limited circumstances, we may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Transactional records required for tax and accounting compliance (up to 7 years, as per Indian law)
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics data that cannot identify you
- Records of deletion requests themselves (to demonstrate compliance)
- Information needed to resolve ongoing disputes or enforce agreements
Deletion Timeline
Request Received
We acknowledge your request within 24 hours
Identity Verification
We may verify your identity to protect against unauthorised deletion requests
Data Deletion (Within 30 Days)
All eligible data is permanently deleted from our systems and backups
Confirmation Sent
We send a confirmation email once deletion is complete
How to Request Data Deletion
Send an email to our privacy team with your deletion request:

associated with my account.

Facebook / Meta Login Users
If you signed up using Facebook Login, Meta may require us to provide a data deletion callback URL. This page serves as our data deletion instruction page as required by Meta's Platform Policies.
To remove HelpMeBuddy's access to your Facebook data:
- Go to your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find “HelpMeBuddy” in the list and click “Remove”
- Additionally, email us at support@helpmebuddy.in to delete your HelpMeBuddy account data
